
At Senneca , our employees are our greatest assets, so we first and foremost, want to provide a safe work environment. It is our #1 key result and we are all measured as a team on our safety record. We partner with local governance bodies, OSHA and environmental agencies, to proactively audit to ensure we are held to the highest standards. In addition, we have active safety committees and perform workplace audits on our own so that everyone knows that the safety of each and every employee is important. We utilize recordable incident rates, days without accidents, and safety audits performed as key performance indicators for our teams.
In 2015, we piloted the Dupont™ STOP® program, and have since rolled out the program to all of our locations. The program is designed to heighten awareness, focus on behavior, and eliminate unsafe actions that lead to incidents versus figuring out what happened after an accident has already occurred. Our incident rate has fallen consistently since implementation and we look to continuously improve as we move forward.
